This public payphone with handset is a distinctive diorama accessory for urban street scenes. As a detailed street accessory, it adds a familiar piece of public infrastructure to model cityscapes, tabletop scenes and display cabinets.
The freestanding phone sits on a rectangular base and features a rounded protective housing with a deeply recessed front. The control panel, buttons, coin slots, lower shelf and receiver set down beside the phone create a convincing miniature scene for pavements, squares, building entrances or busy urban areas.
Here is an overview of the uses for the available scales:
- 1:18: The public payphone with handset adds a distinctive piece of infrastructure to model car dioramas and street scenes.
- 1:20: In dioramas and detailed collector display cabinets, this miniature adds a familiar urban touch.
- 1:22,5 - Spur 2: For garden railway scenes, Spur II dioramas and landscaping, the phone adds a touch of public infrastructure.
