This category gathers animal figures and miniatures from the family of whales and dolphins. The models capture typical proportions, movement dynamics, and characteristic silhouettes of marine mammals, making them particularly suitable for realistic representations in dioramas, display cases, or as part of collector presentations. Featured are both impressive species like the sperm whale and sperm whale with calf, as well as smaller and distinctive representatives like the dwarf whale and the striking killer whale (orca). Endangered porpoises are represented by the vaquita and vaquita with calf, while river forms are showcased by the Amazon river dolphin in swimming and surfacing poses. The range is complemented by the large bottlenose dolphin in a jumping pose and the robust southern right whale. Applications vary from model building projects focused on anatomical accuracy and realistic poses to painting projects that highlight fine details and contrasting shading. Collectors appreciate the variety of poses for believable marine and river landscapes and use the figures as atmospheric elements in scene setups. Typical applications include: - Detailed dioramas of coastlines, open seas, or river landscapes - Painting projects focusing on patterns, skin tones, and textures - Scenic display presentations and collection setups - Model building as a teaching tool for anatomy and behavior - Combinations with landscape and water bases for realistic effects.
