This tabletop figure depicts a giant sandworm - also known as a cave worm, abyss worm (Wyrm), or spiked serpent beast - in a powerful, tightly coiled pose. Several body rings wind compactly over each other, the upper body is upright, and the head is thrust forward. The maw is wide open, as if the monster is hissing and about to snap at any moment. The broad, reptilian snout with strong jaws reveals long fangs and a clearly visible tongue; the eyes are set deep and framed by bony ridges and horn plates. Rows of large, backward-curved spines run along the back, neck, and flanks, while the underside bears jagged scales that resemble interlocking armor plates. The compact coil conveys the feeling that the worm uses its massive body like a whip and can strike out of the ring at any moment.
