This kitchen mortar and pestle is detailed diorama kitchen accessory for miniature kitchens, model making and collectors’ display cases. This compact kitchen utensil enhances convincing cooking and pantry scenes where herbs, spices or other ingredients are prepared.
The design features a wide, shallow mortar bowl with a substantial-looking rounded base. The short, sturdy pestle rests at an angle in the bowl, giving the object an immediately recognizable function. Its smooth finish is reminiscent of a robust vessel for a country-rustic kitchen and adds a convincing accent in a small space.
The scale options allow it to fit into a variety of miniature scenes and display cases:
- At scale 1:18, the piece is well suited to larger miniature rooms, interior scenes and collectors’ display cases.
- 1:20 works well in dioramas, special model-making projects and detailed collectors’ display cases.
- 1:22,5 - Spur 2 is a suitable size for garden railway scenes, Spur II dioramas and landscape layouts.
- 1:24 - Spur H is well suited to dollhouses, miniature rooms and detailed interior scenes.
- 1:32 - Spur 1 is a good choice for Spur 1 dioramas, model railway scenes and landscape layouts.
- 1:35: Suitable for classic dioramas, plastic model building and detailed model scenes.
The model is supplied unpainted, leaving room for custom painting, weathering and decoration. It is a finely detailed model-making piece for a diorama, tabletop scene or display case. Not a toy.
