The covered-crate diorama cargo by MyPortal Studios adds a distinctive packaged object to storage, workshop, and transport scenes. It works well as a focal point or additional diorama detail and is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32, and 1:35.
Several solid crates form a rectangular base. A loosely draped tarp with irregular folds and overhanging edges sits on top. Horizontal and vertical securing straps wrap around the stack, suggesting a load ready for transport. The combination of crates, cover, and straps makes it suitable cargo for scenes involving storage, workshops, and transport.
Depending on the scale, the covered package can be used in a variety of modeling settings. Here are some ideas for suitable scenes and placements:
- 1:18: As stored cargo beside a workbench in a garage diorama, or in a collector’s display featuring a workshop scene.
- 1:20: As a construction supply at the edge of an architectural model, near the entrance to a warehouse.
- 1:22,5: As a covered delivery on the platform in a garden railway station scene.
