The habitat of river deltas/floodplains forms a distinct category for animal miniatures that depict wet shore zones, estuarine areas, and flooded floodplain landscapes. Figures for dioramas, landscape models, and collector projects benefit from the diverse fauna and characteristic shapes of water, reeds, and mud. Typical scenes range from shallow side channels with swimming reptiles to mammals hidden quietly in the reeds, and sandy islands where wading birds rest. Motifs such as an alligator emerging from the water, a pair of tapirs at the shore, or driftwood with individual wading birds bring life to setups and offer numerous opportunities for color accents, rippling water surfaces, and delicate shoreline vegetation. In this category, suitable models include the swimming American alligator and the dynamic American alligator - attack pose for moments of tension, the swimming Ganges gharial and the Ganges gharial - gharial for Asian floodplains, as well as the Malayan tapir and the lovingly designed tapir mother and young lying down and tapir mother and young for family scenes. Sceneries are complemented by birds such as the dancing Canadian cranes - great sandhill cranes and aquatic animals like the Amazon river dolphin - swimming. - Dioramas and vignettes with waterways - Model railway landscapes along river arms - Nature-based studies and reference setups - Collection displays and painted showpieces
