Farmers and Agricultural Workers – Farming Set

This five-piece resin figure set depicts various activities from everyday rural working life. Two farmers with scythes and three female farmers in different working poses are suitable for farm, field and country life dioramas as well as historical or timeless village scenes.

Included figures:

• Farmer with Scythe A - Old Farmer at Work (Ref. No. 299): Standing farmer in work clothes and boots, carrying a scythe over his shoulder.
• Farmer with Scythe B - Old Farmer at Work (Ref. No. 300): Farmer with cap and boots in a dynamic working pose with a long-handled scythe.
• Female Farmer in the Field - Old Female Farmer at Work (Ref. No. 301): Forward-bending female farmer with headscarf, skirt, gloves and boots.
• Female Farmer with Buckets - Old Female Farmer at Work (Ref. No. 302): Walking female farmer in an apron, carrying a bucket in each hand.
• Female Farmer with Baskets - Old Female Farmer at Work (Ref. No. 303): Standing female farmer with headscarf, carrying two baskets in her arms and another basket on her head.

Scales and possible uses

The set is available in several scales. For a coherent overall appearance, the selected version should match the scale of the existing vehicles, buildings and other figures:

• 1:18: for large agricultural dioramas, rural scenes with model cars and display cases.
• 1:20: for larger dioramas and suitable special models.
• 1:22.5: for agricultural scenes on a garden railway or in a Scale II landscape.
• 1:24: for farm and field depictions in combination with model cars in this scale.
• 1:32: for rural Scale I layouts and larger farm dioramas.
• 1:35: for plastic model building as well as agricultural vehicle and terrain dioramas.
• 1:43: for compact village scenes, model cars and die-cast collections.

Practical design ideas

• On a farm diorama, the figures can be distributed around farm buildings, a barn, paths or work areas.
• For a field or harvest scene, the two farmers with scythes together with the bent-over female farmer form a varied work group.
• The female farmer with buckets and the female farmer with baskets suit a rural farm or village scene and create visible transport and work situations.
• On a 1:22.5 garden railway or a 1:32 Scale I layout, the figures can bring fields, farms and village areas to life.
• Next to a suitable model vehicle, 1:18, 1:24, 1:35 or 1:43 are suitable; the key factor is choosing the figure and vehicle in the same scale.

The figures are supplied unpainted in resin and with support structures. The set is model-making accessory for individual finishing and painting and is not a toy.
