Fishermen at Work – 3 Unpainted Resin Figures

Complete set S108 depicts three fishermen and sailors in typical weatherproof workwear. Different body positions as well as a bucket and rope allow for varied harbor, boat and coastal scenes. The figures are supplied unpainted in resin and with support structures.

• Seated Bearded Fisherman – Figure in Oilskins and Rubber Boots (Ref. No. 443): Seated figure with hands held forward, suitable for a seat on deck or in a harbor area.
• Fisherman with Bucket – Figure in Oilskins and Rubber Boots (Ref. No. 444): Standing fisherman with a bucket in one hand and a raised hand above his eyes.
• Sailor with Rope – Figure in Rain Jacket and Rubber Boots (Ref. No. 445): Bearded sailor with rain hat, long jacket and a rope carried over his shoulder.

Scales and Suitable Projects

1:18 is particularly suitable for harbor dioramas with model cars and collector's display cases. 1:20 suits larger coastal, harbor and special dioramas. 1:22.5 is a suitable choice for harbor scenes on a garden railway or in a Gauge II layout. 1:24 complements model car dioramas with a quay, harbor or fishing theme. 1:32 can be integrated into maritime Gauge I scenes. 1:35 works well for vehicle dioramas, boat models and plastic model-building projects. 1:43 is suitable for harbor scenes beside model cars or within a die-cast collection. 1:48 is suitable for compact vehicle and harbor dioramas as well as scenes in US O Scale. 1:50 is ideal for architectural and city models with a harbor, quay or fishing operation.

Practical Uses

For a garage diorama with a model car, the 1:18, 1:24 or 1:43 versions are suitable if the scene depicts harbor operations, a work vehicle or a coastal location.

On a model railway with a harbor area, 1:22.5 is suitable for garden railways and Gauge II, while 1:32 suits Gauge I. The seated figure can be placed on a suitable deck or quay edge, while the bucket and rope emphasize the working character of the scene.

For a fishing boat or harbor diorama, 1:35 and 1:48 are suitable. The three different poses can be used together as a working group or separately on a boat, quay and pier.

In an architectural or city model, 1:50 is especially suitable for fishing harbors, quay facilities and maritime commercial areas. For larger display pieces or showcase scenes, 1:18 and 1:20 are available.

The set is model-making accessory and not a toy. Before painting, the support structures must be removed and the figures finished if necessary.
