The individually placeable sandbag by MyPortal Studios adds a versatile detail for defensive positions in military dioramas and other model-making scenes. It is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22.5, 1:24, 1:32, and 1:35 and can be arranged on its own or together with additional sandbags.
The flattened shape has irregularly rounded sides and ends. Clearly modeled folds, seams, and edges suggest a tightly filled fabric sack. This simple military-themed item is suitable for building a sandbag position or forming the edge of a defensive emplacement.
The following design ideas show how the sandbag can be placed in different model-making settings:
- 1:18: As part of a fortified access road, at the edge of a military diorama with model vehicles.
- 1:20: In front of a makeshift position in an architectural miniature setting, beside a projecting wall.
- 1:22.5: At a small observation post by the railway embankment, as a distinctive accent in a 2 gauge landscape.
- 1:24: In front of the entrance to a field camp, placed in a detailed military diorama.
