The defensive position sandbag by MyPortal Studios adds a distinctive protective detail to military dioramas and other model-making scenes. It is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22.5, 1:24, 1:32, and 1:35 and can be incorporated as a single element in a position or improvised protective wall.
The model depicts an irregularly bulging, slightly flattened sandbag with indented edges. A gathered section, folds, and seams are visible at the closed end. Its coarse, weathered-looking surface texture emphasizes the military theme and works as a visible detail on barricades, protective walls, or defensive positions.
Depending on the scale, the sandbag can complement different scenes. The following suggestions show possible placements in model-making:
- 1:18: As part of a low protective wall beside a position in a military diorama, for example at the edge of a display case scene.
- 1:20: In front of a small field position in a landscape setting, placed at the entrance to a makeshift shelter.
- 1:22.5: At the edge of a fortified position in a 2 gauge landscape, beside a path through the garden railway scene.
- 1:24: As a barricade detail at the corner of a building in a military-themed street diorama.
- 1:32: In a defensive position at the edge of a 1 gauge landscape, as a visible boundary for a small protected area.
