The electronic access door with keypad by MyPortal Studios is an unpainted diorama accessory for military and architectural modeling. It creates a distinctive entrance to fortified interiors, technical facilities or vehicle areas. Available in 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32 and 1:35.

The angular door assembly features a small rectangular viewing or pass-through opening in the upper section. A compact electronic keypad is mounted at the side, complementing the technical design. The door, opening and control panel together create a utilitarian motif for entrances to secure or functional areas; the visible shapes also provide a starting point for custom painting.

The following scale suggestions show different ways to incorporate the door into a model scene:

  • 1:18: As the entrance to a secure workshop area in a garage diorama, positioned beside an interior wall or workshop entrance.
  • 1:20: For an architectural model of a fortified facility, as a door on the façade of a technical building.
  • 1:22,5: In a garden railway scene, as an entrance to a small operations or supply building, fitted directly into its exterior wall.
  • 1:24: As the entrance to a restricted technical room in a military diorama, on a scenic wall beside the facility area.
  • 1:32: In a Gauge I landscape, as an entrance to a military utility facility, placed in the wall of a fortified building.
  • 1:35: For a vehicle diorama, as the entrance to a secure maintenance area, on a building wall near the workshop scene.

Product Notes

The support structures remain on the figures for safe transport. These can be removed with fine pliers or carefully by hand. The figures can be gently heated with a hair dryer to facilitate release. Further information can be found in the FAQs .
