This tabletop miniature depicts a dark knight on a rearing steed - a cavalry champion that can be interpreted as a death knight or cursed rider, visually marking the army leader. The rider drives the forward movement energetically, body leaning forward, blade raised high and poised to strike; the large shield is held or braced as if an impact is imminent. The scene feels like the beginning of a charge - dense, powerful, with the presence of a boss model or wargaming character leading a formation forward.
