Die Kuh steht stabil auf allen Vieren, die Beine locker gespreizt. Der Hals ist weit nach vorn gestreckt und leicht abgesenkt, der Kopf dem Kalb zugewandt. Das Kalb steht ruhig mit dicht beieinanderstehenden Beinen und hebt den Kopf sanft zur Mutter; beide begegnen sich in einem zarten Nasenstupsen.
