This miniature depicts a North Sulawesi babirusa: an adult female with a young one closely following. The mother stretches her neck, her snout lowered to the ground; one front leg is raised in a step, while the hind legs support her. The piglet stays close beneath her, taking a short step and also keeping its head down - both are intently sniffing for food as they move forward. The figure is unpainted and intended for dioramas, classic modeling, collection, and as a painting project. The proportions and posture are realistically crafted, making the duo appear as a cohesive unit - from a single pedestal to a display case.
