The parabolic antenna by MyPortal Studios adds a distinctive technical touch to military dioramas and other model scenes centered on communications and defense. Available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32 and 1:35, it works as a standalone focal point or as an addition to a detailed position.
The model features a large, shallow reflector dish with a rim around the edge. A support arm and a rectangular receiver or transmitter element sit in the center. A crossbar, short adjustable-looking mast and compact base plate define its technical silhouette. Its clean shapes fit into a defensive position or a scene featuring mobile communications.
The available scales offer different ways to incorporate the antenna into a suitable model setting:
- 1:18: As a communications point beside a field post in a military diorama, on a raised platform at the edge of the position.
- 1:20: In an architectural model, as part of a makeshift observation post, placed on the roof of a low utility building.
- 1:22,5: For a landscape model with a remote military post, on an open hilltop near a small shelter.
- 1:24: In a ship diorama, as a technical communications installation on an open area near the superstructure.
- 1:32: In a Gauge 1 landscape, as a radio station at the edge of a military outpost, beside a narrow access path.
- 1:35: For a vehicle diorama, as an antenna at a defensive position, at the back of the position near a supply area.
