The classic door with frame from MyPortal Studios is a versatile diorama accessory for façades, architectural models and detailed miniature settings. Available in 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32 and 1:35 scales, it makes a striking entrance feature.
The upper part of the door shows several rectangular glass panes in a regular grid of muntins. Below is a solid recessed panel with molded detailing around the edges. A door handle and keyhole complete the design; the separate frame can be positioned in a variety of ways when creating a façade. Its well-defined contours add texture to miniature scenes, even at small scales.
Depending on the scale, the door can complement a range of architectural scenes. Here are a few ideas for placing it:
- 1:18: As the entrance to a miniature room in a collector’s display case, for example in a richly detailed period-building setting.
- 1:20: As an entrance on the street-facing side of an architectural model, suited to a small shop or residential façade.
- 1:22,5: As a prominent entrance to a station building in a garden railway scene.
- 1:24: As an interior door in a dollhouse, placed between the hallway and living room.
- 1:32: As a façade element on a building beside a Gauge 1 layout, such as a small station or house.
- 1:35: As the entrance to a workshop building in a vehicle diorama, directly on the rear wall of the building.

The support structures remain on the figures for safe transport. These can be removed with fine pliers or carefully by hand. The figures can be gently heated with a hair dryer to facilitate release. Further information can be found in the FAQs .
