The concrete utility pole with eight insulators by MyPortal Studios is a distinctive infrastructure detail for street, city, and landscape dioramas. It adds the silhouette of an overhead power and distribution pole to model scenes and is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32, and 1:35.

The freestanding pole has a round, vertical design. Two crossarms, arranged one above the other, carry ribbed insulators with small caps and fittings. Diagonal braces connect the crossarms to the pole and give it the typical construction of a utility pole. The visible structures and components define its characteristic form.

Depending on the scale, the pole can be added to different locations in a scene. These design suggestions show possible settings for use in model making:

  • 1:18: A striking utility pole at the edge of a garage diorama, beside a driveway or a small workshop building.
  • 1:20: In an architectural model scene, at the street crossing between townhouses and an open square.

Product Notes
