The wide church portal with double doors by MyPortal Studios adds a striking entrance to religious dioramas, architectural models and other model-building scenes. It is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32 and 1:35.
The symmetrical design is framed by a solid rounded arch. Two door leaves with clearly defined panels form the centerpiece; curved, ornamental-looking hardware with scrollwork and round handles add sculptural accents. The design evokes the imposing, stately feel of a church or town entrance and makes an eye-catching feature on a building façade.
Depending on the scale, the portal can be incorporated into a variety of model-building worlds. The following suggestions show possible scenes and placements:
- 1:18: As the entrance to a small chapel at the end of a miniature street, with the portal as the focal point on the front of the façade.
- 1:20: As the main entrance to a historic architectural model, positioned on the street side of a stately building.
- 1:22,5: As the portal of a village church in a garden railway landscape, clearly visible along the path from the station to the village square.
- 1:24: As the entrance to an urban courtyard in a dollhouse or miniature-room project, set into the rear backdrop wall.
- 1:32: As the entrance to a small church in a Gauge I village scene, positioned at the edge of the central square.
- 1:35: As the entrance to a historic chapel in a landscape diorama, on a cobbled path between buildings and walls.
The portal is an unpainted physical model-building object designed by MyPortal Studios; it is not a toy. The settings and scenes mentioned are suggestions. Other scene accessories are not included.
