The Flame Portal diorama terrain, designed as a ring of fire by MyPortal Studios, creates a striking focal point in fantasy, landscape, and architectural models. This unpainted decorative object is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32, and 1:35 and works as a dramatic passageway or as the centerpiece of a carefully composed scene.
A ring-shaped frame of intertwining tongues of flame surrounds a large open center. Bulging transitions and irregular surfaces flow into sharply pointed tips, giving the fire portal a dynamic, organic sculptural form. The raised texture offers plenty of scope for custom paint effects, such as glowing highlights, dark shadows, or ashy transitions.
The following ideas show how to incorporate the ring of fire into different model-building worlds to suit each scale:
- 1:18: As a magical portal at the end of a stony path in a fantasy landscape diorama, prominently placed at the transition to the next scenic area.
- 1:20: As a flaming gate in the courtyard of a miniature setting, positioned between suggested walls as a dramatic passageway.
- 1:22,5: As a mysterious entrance in a garden railway landscape, showcased at the edge of an overgrown rocky area.
- 1:24: As a supernatural passageway in a fantasy room in a dollhouse, positioned freestanding in front of a rear wall.
- 1:32: As a magical ring at the edge of a Gauge 1 landscape, placed near a small rocky hill as a focal point of the scene.
- 1:35: As an abandoned ring of fire in a vehicle diorama, positioned behind a ruined section of wall as the destination of a path.
The Flame Portal is an unpainted physical model-making object designed by MyPortal Studios. It is not a toy or an STL download. The suggested scenery and additional scene accessories are not included.
