The closed shelter door from MyPortal Studios adds a distinctive architectural detail to military dioramas, architectural models and other model-building scenes. It is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32 and 1:35 and is suitable for creating facades, shelters and functional-looking miniature buildings.

The tall door panel is surrounded by a frame. A small square viewing window sits in the upper section, with lock and handle fittings shown on the side. Its smooth, angular panel design and closed form give the piece a plain, practical character. It works especially well as a detail on shelter and bunker facades and in military-themed building scenes.

The following design suggestions show how the door can be incorporated into different model-building scenes at each scale:

  • 1:18: As an entrance to a shelter on the back wall of a garage diorama, complemented by a simple miniature setting.
  • 1:20: As an entrance on the exterior facade of a military architectural model, for example beside a suggested access road.
  • 1:22,5: As a shelter entrance at the edge of a remote garden railway station scene, set partly into a building wall.
  • 1:24: As a closed door to a small shelter in a dollhouse or miniature room, placed at the end of a narrow corridor.
  • 1:32: As an architectural detail in a military-themed Gauge 1 landscape, near a path or layout access road.
  • 1:35: As a bunker entrance in a vehicle diorama, ideally set into the back wall of a workshop or action scene.

You will receive an unpainted model-building piece designed by MyPortal Studios. It is not a toy, but is intended for creating and enhancing model-building and diorama scenes. Suggested settings and additional scene accessories are not included.
