The upright fern adds a natural accent to dioramas and model-making scenes, from dense ground cover to a single plant beside a path. The miniature by MyPortal Studios is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32, and 1:35.
A sturdy central stem bears numerous pairs of rounded fronds and tapers to a slender new shoot. Coiled frond tips are visible near the base; the compact, irregular base gives the plant an organic character. Clearly defined leaf details offer a starting point for custom painting and ground-cover arrangements.
Depending on the scale, the fern can be incorporated into a variety of model-making settings. Here are a few suitable placement ideas:
