The double sandbag barrier by MyPortal Studios adds a distinctive military detail to diorama landscapes: use it as stored supplies, an improvised fortification or a protective element beside a miniature tank. This unpainted accessory is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32 and 1:35.
The compact barrier consists of tightly arranged, plump sacks with rounded ends. Visible folds, irregular surfaces, and suggested seams and closure details convey the texture of coarse burlap. The result is a convincing feature that adds an improvised defensive position or a stockpile of equipment to military model-making scenes and landscape dioramas.
Depending on the scale, the barrier can be placed in different parts of a miniature scene. The following suggestions offer ideas for suitable settings:
- 1:18: As improvised cover at the edge of a military diorama, beside a parked miniature vehicle.
- 1:20: In front of a small observation post in an architectural model setting, as a protective line along the entrance to an area.
- 1:22,5: Where the track meets the embankment in a garden railway landscape, as a fortified section beside a small railway station.
- 1:24: As a protective barrier at the entrance to a model field camp, near a guard post in a landscape diorama.
- 1:32: Beside a field position in a Gauge 1 military scene, placed at the edge of a raised section of terrain.
- 1:35: In front of the entrance to a weathered-looking building in a vehicle diorama, as cover for a depicted position.
This unpainted model-making object was designed by MyPortal Studios and is not a toy. Suggested settings and additional scene accessories are not included.
