The freestanding public mailbox by MyPortal Studios adds a familiar piece of infrastructure to street and city dioramas. It works as an eye-catching feature along a miniature street or as a small storytelling detail in a scale-model scene. This unpainted decorative object is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32 and 1:35.

The tall, rounded housing stands on four slender legs. At the top is the open mail slot with a handle at the back; the large front flap is shown closed. Side frame strips with regularly spaced rivet or screw-head details emphasize its sturdy, technical design. The understated surface can be painted as a bold accent or to suit its surroundings.

Depending on the scale, the mailbox can be incorporated into a variety of model worlds. The following suggestions show possible scenes and placements:

  • 1:18: Placed beside the entrance door of a miniature room, it adds a distinctive street detail to an urban collector's display.
  • 1:20: Set on the sidewalk of an architectural street model, it brings the scene in front of a small commercial building to life.
  • 1:22,5: Positioned on a garden railway platform, it becomes an everyday detail in a rural station scene.
  • 1:24: Standing at the edge of a dollhouse street, it gives a small neighborhood its own landmark.
  • 1:32: Placed in front of a model village building, it adds a roadside detail to a landscape diorama.
  • 1:35: Arranged beside the entrance to a workshop building in a vehicle diorama, it adds an urban accent between the street and courtyard.

You will receive an unpainted model-making object designed by MyPortal Studios for customizing and adding to your own dioramas. It is not a toy. The suggested settings and additional scene accessories are not included.
