The rectangular street drain with grate from MyPortal Studios is an unpainted decorative detail for street, city, and infrastructure dioramas, as well as general model building. It makes a small but distinctive addition to sidewalks, road edges, and drainage channels. The model is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32, and 1:35.
The flat, elongated design features a sturdy surrounding frame and a cover with numerous evenly spaced longitudinal slots. Slightly rounded edges and the textured grate give the street drain a robust, cast-metal appearance. Its recognizable shape is based on a rectangular drain grate, suitable for depicting in a road surface or at the edge of a sidewalk.
Depending on the scale, the street drain can be incorporated into different model-building scenes. These placement ideas show some possible uses:
- 1:18: At the edge of a paved driveway in a garage diorama, beside the transition to the sidewalk.
- 1:20: In a street diorama, as a drain in a narrow channel in front of an architectural model façade.
- 1:22,5: At the platform entrance in a garden railway scene, set flush into the path between the station and the track area.
- 1:24: On the sidewalk in a miniature setting, right at the curb in a small town scene.
- 1:32: On a paved driveway in a landscape diorama, near the transition from road to courtyard.
- 1:35: In a workshop scene, as a floor drain beside the entrance to a vehicle garage.
This unpainted physical model-building object was designed by MyPortal Studios and is not a toy. The suggested settings and additional scene accessories are not included.
