The portable street barrier by MyPortal Studios adds a clean accent to street, urban, and infrastructure dioramas, making it a versatile finishing touch for model scenes. It is available in 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32, and 1:35 scales and can bring structure to construction sites, sidewalks, and public spaces.
The open, rectangular design consists of several horizontal round bars, two decorative capped end posts, and a stabilizing center post. Flat, round feet sit at ground level. The smooth surfaces are ready for custom painting, for example in warning, city, or construction colors, while retaining the look of a freestanding, classic-style barrier.
Depending on the scale, the barrier can be used in a variety of model scenes. The following ideas suggest some possible placements:
- 1:18: As a barrier at the edge of a garage diorama, beside the driveway or a marked work area for a die-cast collection.
- 1:20: In front of a building entrance in an architectural model setting, to visually define a public space or entrance.
- 1:22,5: On the platform in a garden railway scene, near a station entrance or along a footpath through the landscape.
- 1:24: At the edge of a Slotcar track as part of an urban racing setting, for example beside a closed-off section of track.
- 1:32: In front of a small workshop or warehouse in a Gauge 1 landscape, marking off a designated work area.
- 1:35: In a vehicle diorama construction scene, to the side of a driveway or in front of an area depicted as closed off.
This unpainted model-building object was designed by MyPortal Studios and is not a toy. The suggested settings and additional scene accessories are not included.
