This low metal railing adds a clearly defined boundary for sidewalks, courtyards or front gardens to dioramas and architectural models. It is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32 and 1:35 and can be incorporated into a variety of model-building worlds.
The long section has two sturdy, slightly overhanging end posts and a rectangular frame. Closely spaced vertical bars and a horizontal center rail define the simple railing design. The visible surface texture gives the component the appearance of a metal railing without specifying its actual material.
Depending on the scale, the railing section can be used to create a variety of outdoor settings. The following scene ideas show possible placements for model building:
- 1:18: As a boundary along a sidewalk in front of an apartment building in a garage diorama.
- 1:20: Along the entrance to a modern home, creating a clear boundary in an architectural miniature setting.
- 1:22,5: Beside a small station forecourt, framing a footpath in a garden railway landscape scene.
- 1:24: At the edge of a paved courtyard in front of a dollhouse or miniature room setting.
- 1:32: As an enclosure around a front garden on a rural road in a Gauge I landscape diorama.
- 1:35: Beside a workshop driveway or sidewalk as an additional urban detail in a vehicle diorama.
The railing section is an unpainted model-building piece designed by MyPortal Studios. It is not a toy. The suggested settings and other scene accessories are not included.
