The two-part safety cabinet for artillery equipment by MyPortal Studios adds a distinctive furnishing element to military dioramas and other model-making scenes. This unpainted decorative object is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32 and 1:35 and can be used as a focal point or as part of a detailed setting.
The tall, narrow shape is defined by two closed compartments stacked one above the other, with reinforced doors. Ventilation slits, suggested lock areas and diagonal bracing emphasize its heavy, functional appearance. A wide frame, the shelf between the compartments, sturdy side walls and short feet complete the robust design. The visible textures and clearly structured surfaces make the cabinet a fitting feature for military storage and supply scenes.
Depending on the scale, the safety cabinet can be placed in different locations in a setting:
- 1:18: As a furnishing piece in a spacious military diorama, the cabinet can stand against the back wall of a supply store.
- 1:20: In an architectural model scene, it would fit in the corner of an improvised artillery depot.
- 1:22,5: For a Gauge II layout, the cabinet can be placed inside a small military supply post.
- 1:24: In a detailed miniature room, it can be placed beside the entrance to a secured weapons store.
- 1:32: In a Gauge 1 military scene, it fits against the wall of a field depot near a supply area.
