The single sandbag from MyPortal Studios is a versatile decorative piece for fortifications, protective walls, and small cover positions in dioramas and scale modeling. It is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32, and 1:35 and can be added as a distinctive detail to a variety of scenes.
The model depicts a tightly filled sandbag lying flat in an irregular triangular shape. Visible seams and fabric folds, along with the thickened, closed opening, define the surface and give the object a rugged, weathered appearance. The military-themed piece works well as part of a barricade or as standalone cover at the edge of a scene.
The following ideas show how the sandbag can fit into suitable modeling settings at different scales:
- 1:18: As cover beside a field camp in a military diorama, placed at the entrance to a small fortified area.
- 1:20: As protection at a makeshift roadblock in a miniature scene, right at the edge of the roadway.
- 1:22,5: As part of a low protective wall in a garden railway landscape, near a path through the terrain.
- 1:24: As a barricade detail in a ship diorama, positioned at a protected access point on deck.
