The upright fern with spreading fronds adds a natural accent to landscape dioramas and other model scenes. This individual decorative object is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32 and 1:35 and can be used as striking foliage or as part of dense miniature vegetation.
A short, flared, tapered base supports a slender stem. Numerous fronds extend out from the stem, with carefully sculpted, pointed leaflets. The fine, segmented surface highlights the characteristic fern shape and gives the plant a lively silhouette without dictating other elements of your design.
The following ideas show how the fern can fit into different model worlds, depending on the scale:
- 1:18: As lush greenery at the edge of a garage diorama, between a wall and overgrown courtyard paving.
- 1:20: As a standalone plant in a miniature setting beside a weathered architectural model, such as at the foot of a garden wall.
- 1:22,5: As lush waterside vegetation in a garden railway landscape, near a small stream or pond edge.
- 1:24: In a dollhouse garden as a fern beneath a low stone border, beside a narrow garden path.
- 1:32: As dense undergrowth in a landscape diorama, at the edge of a forest path or small clearing.
- 1:35: In a workshop scene as an overgrown plant beside a crumbling exterior wall or behind a shed.
