The Mexican fan palm from MyPortal Studios is a decorative diorama and model-making object that adds a striking tropical accent to landscapes, outdoor areas and miniature settings. It is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32 and 1:35 and can be incorporated into different model worlds depending on the selected size.
The freestanding model features a slender, slightly tapered trunk with a flared base resembling exposed roots. Numerous long, pointed palm fronds form the distinctive fan-shaped crown. Its clearly faceted surface highlights each shape and provides a foundation for custom painting and adding foliage. The design is particularly suited to use as a standalone plant or as part of a landscaped scene.
The following scale ideas show how the palm can be placed in different scenes:
- 1:18: As a tropical focal point at the edge of a miniature room, beside a seating area or a small path.
- 1:20: As a striking standalone plant in an architectural model, for example in front of a designed entrance area.
- 1:22,5: As greenery at the edge of a garden railway scene, beside a path through a southern landscape.
- 1:24: As an exotic accent in a dollhouse garden, near a patio or miniature wall.
- 1:32: As a standalone palm in a landscape diorama, in an open area among low vegetation.
- 1:35: As a tropical plant in a vehicle diorama setting, at the edge of a path or open area.
