The folding field chair by MyPortal Studios adds practical seating to dioramas and model scenes. This decorative item is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32 and 1:35, and complements military camps as well as market, transport or workshop scenes.
The design depicts a portable field or director's chair with a crossed X-frame, four flat feet and side pivot points. The seat is slightly sagging, resembling the fabric of a folding chair. Its straightforward shape makes this piece of furniture a fitting scene detail for settings where simple seating is needed.
Depending on the scale, the chair can be placed in a variety of model settings. The following ideas suggest possible placements without prescribing a specific scene layout:
- 1:18: Beside tools and equipment in a garage diorama workshop scene, such as against the wall of a work area.
- 1:20: As a guard's seat in a military diorama, at the entrance to a small field camp.
- 1:22,5: At a garden railway as a rest spot for railway workers, beside a shed along a remote stretch of track.
- 1:24: In a dollhouse or miniature room as a simple folding chair, at a small worktable in a workshop setting.
- 1:32: In a gauge 1 landscape as a seat for staff, at the edge of a small station forecourt.
