The “Ground Covering Leaf Plant” diorama piece by MyPortal Studios adds a natural-looking green accent to landscapes, garden areas, and other model scenes. It is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32, and 1:35 and can be used as low-growing vegetation in dioramas or collector display cases.
The design depicts a dense clump of elongated oval leaves growing in a fan from the center on short stems, with some leaves overlapping. Raised central ribs and gently curved edges define the modeled leaf surfaces. Beneath the foliage is a suggested irregular soil or root section, completing the look of a compact plant cluster.
Depending on the scale, the plant can be used to create different natural areas in a miniature scene. Here are a few possible placements:
- 1:18: As lush vegetation at the edge of a miniature room, for example in a landscaped corner of a model setting.
- 1:20: As ground cover beside an architectural model, at the foot of a garden wall in a landscape model.
- 1:22,5: As a cluster of foliage beside a garden railway path, between the path edge and a low fence in a station scene.
- 1:24: As greenery at the edge of a dollhouse, in a small flower bed beside the entrance.
- 1:32: As dense vegetation beside a country path, at the transition between the path and a slope in a landscape diorama.
- 1:35: As low-growing vegetation in a vehicle diorama, at the edge of an overgrown path in a natural scene.
