The wire-mesh access gate with braces by MyPortal Studios adds a distinctive touch to military and landscape dioramas and works as an architectural model accessory for fenced facilities and field accommodations. It is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32 and 1:35.
The rectangular gate features a densely filled, open diamond-mesh pattern within a sturdy-looking outer frame. Several diagonal braces, side hinges and a narrow pivot post define its recognizable access-gate design. The open mesh surface can be used as a visible boundary in a range of model scenes.
The following design suggestions show how the gate can be integrated into a fitting setting at each scale:
- 1:18: In a military diorama, the gate can mark the entrance to a restricted vehicle garage, for example at the edge of a garage scene.
- 1:20: In an architectural model of a field accommodation, it can be placed at the entrance to a fenced storage area.
- 1:22,5: For a landscape model, the gate could serve as an entrance through the fence around a remote railway site.
- 1:24: In a street diorama, it can separate a secured supply yard from the surrounding area, near the driveway.
- 1:32: For a Gauge 1 landscape scene, the gate works well at the entrance to a small, fenced outdoor storage area.
- 1:35: In a vehicle diorama, it can form the entrance to a military workshop site, beside a paved road.
