The fence post with gate hardware from MyPortal Studios adds a distinctive detail for house entrances, courtyards and property boundaries to dioramas and model-building settings. It is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32 and 1:35 and can be incorporated into a variety of miniature worlds.
The tall post has a rectangular profile with a flat, slightly overhanging cap. Block-shaped fittings on the side represent the hinges or mounting hardware for a gate. Clean edges and a solid-looking form define the design; the surface is unpainted and can be finished to suit the setting.
The following ideas show how to incorporate the post into a scene at different scales:
- 1:18: As a frame for a property entrance beside a model car in a detailed garage diorama.
- 1:20: At the entrance to an architectural courtyard model, as a distinctive end post for a low property boundary.
- 1:22,5: Beside a garden gate along a path in a garden railway scene, near a small station layout.
- 1:24: As a gate post at the edge of a dollhouse garden, marking the transition from the miniature setting to the street.
