The square tree grate by MyPortal Studios adds a clearly defined decorative feature to sidewalks, forecourts, and building façades. As an empty tree pit or planting bed, it offers space for custom miniature landscaping in city, architectural, and landscape dioramas. The model is available in 1:18, 1:20, 1:22.5, 1:24, 1:32, and 1:35.
The object features a smooth, recessed inner surface surrounded by a raised border. Its compact, square shape works as a tree pit on a sidewalk or as a simple flower bed in a forecourt. Depending on the scene, the open area can be decorated with miniature plants, soil, or gravel; a suitable tree can also complete the design.
These design ideas show how the tree pit can fit into different scales and model-making worlds:
- 1:18: In a garage diorama, as a planted street bed directly beside the sidewalk in front of a modern workshop façade.
- 1:20: For an architectural model, as an empty planting bed at the entrance to a contemporary office building, set into a spacious forecourt.
