The stack of rectangular crates brings a rugged storage atmosphere to dioramas, model settings, and miniature rooms. This unpainted decorative piece by MyPortal Studios is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32, and 1:35, and makes a striking stockpile for scenes involving workshops, transport, or warehouses.
Two columns of four crates form a compact stack. Wide frame rails, recessed front panels, and side braces define each crate. Angular planks and a visibly worn, damaged-looking surface give the design a rough, used character—well suited, for example, to a storage area stocked with workshop or mechanic supplies.
Depending on the scale, the stack of crates can be incorporated into different modeling worlds. These ideas suggest possible scenes and placements:
- 1:18: As supplies against the back wall of a garage diorama, beside an improvised workbench in a collector’s display.
- 1:20: As a delivery stockpile in the yard of a small warehouse, right beside the entrance in an architectural model setting.
- 1:22,5: As a stack of goods at a garden railway goods shed, on the platform near the loading ramp.
