The portable road barrier by MyPortal Studios makes a bold addition to road, city, and infrastructure dioramas and is a versatile decorative object for model making. It is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22.5, 1:24, 1:32, and 1:35 and can be incorporated into a variety of urban, rural, or military scenes.
The design consists of a wide rectangular crossbar supported by two splayed A-frames. Lower crossbars connect the legs and emphasize the sturdy, practical construction. The smooth, angular surfaces provide a canvas for custom painting, weathering, or signage. Depending on your design, the barrier can look freshly set up, weathered, or integrated into a particular street scene.
The following scale examples show possible settings for the barrier model:
- 1:18: As a prominent roadblock at the edge of a garage diorama, beside a driveway or workshop entrance.
- 1:20: As a temporary construction marker in a street diorama, for example on a narrow neighborhood street.
- 1:22,5: As a barrier at a level crossing on a garden railway, positioned where the road meets the track.
- 1:24: As an access barrier in a city model, directly in front of a closed alley or a fenced-off square.
- 1:32: As a trackside barrier on a Slotcar racetrack, positioned beside a corner or pit lane entrance.
- 1:35: As a checkpoint in a military diorama, at the entrance to a temporary access road or storage area.
