The small fern branch from MyPortal Studios adds a finely detailed natural touch to dioramas and model-making plant displays. It is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32, and 1:35, and can be incorporated as an individual plant element into custom miniature landscapes.
This separate component features a slender, subtly textured stem with closely arranged, feathery fronds. Clearly modeled leaflets along the veins fan loosely upward, giving the branch its distinctive fern shape. The surface captures fine plant textures; the branch is designed to be glued in place and added to plantings.
Depending on the scale, the fern branch can enhance a variety of miniature worlds. Here are a few placement ideas:
- 1:18: As greenery at the edge of an overgrown garden area in a garage diorama.
- 1:20: Beside a narrow path in a natural-looking architectural model setting.
- 1:22,5: As a fern at the base of an embankment near the track in a garden railway landscape model.
- 1:24: In a planted nook among the rocks of a ship diorama.
- 1:32: As undergrowth along a woodland path in a 1 gauge landscape diorama.
- 1:35: Among rocks and taller vegetation in a dense vehicle diorama forest scene.
