The large pole-mounted transformer from MyPortal Studios adds a distinctive infrastructure detail for outdoor electrical settings in dioramas and model railway layouts. This unpainted decorative object is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32 and 1:35 and can be used as a visible technical accent in a variety of miniature scenes.
The box-shaped transformer housing features closely spaced cooling fins on the front and sides. Four ribbed insulators with connection terminals sit on the flat top. Its clearly defined, sturdy shape depicts a large pole-mounted transformer and makes it a fitting focal point on a utility pole or in a model of an outdoor electrical installation.
The following scale-specific ideas show different ways to incorporate the transformer into a model scene:
- 1:18: In a street diorama, it makes a distinctive addition to the utility infrastructure along the driveway to a commercial yard.
