The 1990s CRT monitor by MyPortal Studios adds a distinctive computer detail in the style of classic office and home computers to dioramas and model scenes. It is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32, and 1:35, and can be used as a focal point or as part of a furnished miniature setting.
The bulky, rounded case defines the monitor’s characteristic shape. At the front are the deeply recessed screen and wide bezel; a small control on the lower front completes the look. The flat, tilting stand rounds out the silhouette. Its practical design reinforces the impression of a CRT monitor from the 1990s.
The following scale ideas show how the monitor can fit into different modeling worlds:
- 1:18: In a garage diorama, the CRT monitor sits on a workbench, adding to a corner set up for diagnostics and repairs.
- 1:20: In an architectural model setting, it can be placed on a desk in a small planning studio office.
- 1:22,5: For a garden railway station scene, a good spot would be on the worktable in a small signal box.
- 1:24: In a dollhouse or miniature room, the monitor can be placed on a desk to furnish a bedroom with a computer workstation.
- 1:32: At a Slotcar track, it can be placed on the counter in race control and staged as part of track operations.
- 1:35: In a workshop scene, the monitor adds a screen to an area for technical planning or reviewing a vehicle diorama.
The item on offer is an unpainted modeling decoration designed by MyPortal Studios. It is not a toy. The suggested settings and additional scene accessories are not included.
