The twelve-pane window from MyPortal Studios is an unpainted decorative object for creating building façades, interiors and backdrops in dioramas and model making. It is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32 and 1:35, and makes a striking architectural accent with its clearly divided window surface.
The rectangular window has a wide outer frame and a slightly recessed inner surround. Narrow muntins divide the opening evenly into three rows and four columns. The substantial-looking frame profile and crisp edges provide a suitable base for custom painting and weathering, or for installation behind transparent glazing.
Depending on the scale, the window can complement a variety of architectural and model-making settings. The following scenes are suggestions for where to place it:
- 1:18: In a garage diorama, as a window in a small workshop façade, for example above a workbench backdrop.
- 1:20: In an architectural model, as a window in a narrow townhouse, set into a street-facing façade.
- 1:22,5: In a garden railway station scene, as a window in an outbuilding, for example beside the platform.
- 1:24: In a dollhouse, as a study window set into an interior wall with visible muntins.
- 1:32: In a Gauge 1 landscape, as a window in a small station building, on the wall facing the track.
- 1:35: In a workshop scene, as a window in a simple building shell, above a suggested work area.
You will receive an unpainted physical model-making object designed by MyPortal Studios. It is not a toy. The suggested settings and additional scene accessories are not included.
