The double casement window from MyPortal Studios complements building façades and interiors as a distinctive architectural feature for dioramas and model making. It is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32 and 1:35 and can be incorporated as a window detail in a variety of miniature settings.
The rectangular double window has a shared outer frame and two narrow casements. Horizontal muntins divide each casement into three panes. Stepped inner frames, suggested rebates and crisply defined edges give the surface a dimensional, neatly structured appearance. This simple architectural design works as a visible façade feature or as part of a detailed interior backdrop.
Depending on the scale, the window can complement a variety of architectural and model-making settings. The following ideas show possible scenes and placements:
- 1:18: As a focal point on the workshop façade of a garage diorama, above a small workbench scene.
- 1:20: As a window detail on a model house in a street scene, positioned beside a narrow entrance.
- 1:22,5: As a façade accent on a small garden railway station building, near the platform entrance.
- 1:24: As part of a dollhouse back wall, complementing a furnished miniature room.
