The roof hatch with handle from MyPortal Studios is an unpainted architectural detail for dioramas and model making. It works as a distinctive access point on a roof or in a maintenance area and is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5 – Gauge 2, 1:24 – Gauge H, 1:32 – Gauge 1 and 1:35.
The model depicts a low, rectangular hatch with a stepped frame, side edges and fine seams. The slightly sloped lid extends beyond the frame; a small arched handle completes the design. Its clearly defined surfaces emphasize the functional design, making the hatch a fitting detail for rooftop structures, technical buildings or maintenance scenes.
The following suggestions show how to incorporate the roof hatch into different model-making settings to suit each scale:
- 1:18: As access on the flat roof of a garage setting, complemented by a simply arranged workshop scene.
