The roof access hatch with double lids from MyPortal Studios is a distinctive building and infrastructure element for roofscapes, architectural models and detailed dioramas. It is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32 and 1:35 and makes an eye-catching feature on flat roofs, in city scenes or in technical model-making settings.
The low, trapezoidal structure has gently sloping sides and a surrounding base frame. Two separate, hinged-looking lids, small central handles and side hinges define the design and offer fine details for custom painting and weathering. Its clean shape makes it easy to integrate as a roof access feature on a variety of buildings.
Depending on the scale, the hatch can play different roles in a miniature scene. The following ideas suggest possible placements:
