MyPortal Studios’ paneled door with doorknob adds a classic architectural accent to dioramas, miniature rooms, and model-making settings. Available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22.5, 1:24, 1:32, and 1:35, it works as a focal point on a building façade or as a defining detail in an interior.
The tall, rectangular door is framed by a wide surround with decorative profiles running all the way around. Raised molding divides the surface into classic panels, giving the design a clearly structured, dimensional finish. An elongated fitting, a round doorknob, and a suggested keyhole are detailed on the left side. The door can be incorporated into historic, homely, or stately building scenes.
The following suggestions show how the door design can be incorporated into different model-making worlds at each scale:
- 1:18: As the entrance to an elegant miniature room, placed on the back wall of a richly detailed diorama.
- 1:20: As a distinctive entrance in an architectural model, set into the façade of a small townhouse.
- 1:22.5: As the door of a rural station building, placed on the side of the building in a garden railway scene.
