The concrete hollow block by MyPortal Studios is a versatile decorative building element for dioramas and modeling: place it on its own, use it as part of a partition wall, or group several blocks together as construction materials. It is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32, and 1:35, and can be incorporated into a variety of architectural, workshop, and landscape scenes.
The rectangular block has two long, through-openings. Irregularly rounded edges and a coarse, rough surface define its simple concrete look. The block works well as a recognizable masonry unit, for wall remains, or as stacked building material in a construction scene.
The following suggestions show how the concrete hollow block can be placed in different parts of a modeling scene, depending on the scale:
- 1:18: As a single masonry block beside a workbench in a garage diorama, for example as part of a small repair and construction area.
- 1:20: As a low section of partition wall at the edge of an architectural model featuring a courtyard or street scene.
- 1:22,5: As a remnant of a wall beside a path or small construction site in a garden railway landscape model.
- 1:24: As building material set against a wall in a dollhouse or miniature room with a workshop feel.
- 1:32: As part of a section of wall at the edge of a rural scene around a tractor model on a Gauge 1 layout.
- 1:35: As a stacked hollow block beside a damaged wall in a vehicle diorama with a construction theme.
The concrete hollow block is an unpainted physical modeling piece designed by MyPortal Studios. It is not a toy. The settings shown or suggested and additional scene accessories are not included.
