The “Drainpipe with 90-Degree Bend” diorama building element from MyPortal Studios adds a visible technical accent to dioramas and model-making settings. The unpainted model is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32 and 1:35 and works as a decorative element for buildings, interiors and urban scenes.
The distinctive elbow connects two straight sections of pipe. Several wide sockets, along with sealing and fastening rings, break up the shape and give the drainpipe its characteristic appearance. The carefully detailed transitions and surfaces create an understated technical contrast with masonry and other building elements—for example, on a basement wall, in a courtyard or in a narrow corner of a building.
Depending on the scale, the pipe can be placed in a variety of model-making settings. The following ideas suggest suitable scenes and specific locations:
- 1:18: In a garage diorama, the pipe runs visibly along the back wall of a workshop basement.
- 1:20: As part of an architectural model, it can run along the exterior wall of a narrow townhouse.
