The sandbag position by MyPortal Studios adds a distinctive defensive position to military dioramas and other model scenes. This decorative model is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22.5, 1:24, 1:32, and 1:35, and can be used as a focal point or as part of a larger setting.
Several staggered rows of tightly filled sandbags form a protective enclosure. The irregular bulges, visible seam edges, and finely detailed fabric texture define the surface and give the design a handcrafted character. The position works as a standalone element for a defensive scene or as an addition to a larger military setting.
Depending on the scale, the sandbag position can be incorporated into a variety of model settings. The following ideas show possible scenes and placements:
- 1:18: In a military diorama, it can mark a field position at the edge of a diorama path.
- 1:20: For a landscape diorama, consider placing a position on a hill beside a narrow access route.
- 1:22.5: In a garden railway scene, it can be placed at the edge of a small station forecourt.
- 1:24: As part of a ship diorama, it can create a makeshift defensive position on a quay.
- 1:32: In a Gauge 1 landscape scene, the position can serve as a prominent landmark beside a country road.
- 1:35: For a vehicle diorama, it can be placed at the edge of a workshop scene as a protective position.
This is an unpainted physical model-making item designed by MyPortal Studios; it is not a toy. The settings described, along with other scene accessories, are suggestions and are not included.
