The sandbag position by MyPortal Studios adds a compact defensive position to military dioramas and other model-making scenes. This diorama accessory is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32 and 1:35 and can be incorporated as a striking feature in a variety of settings.
Several rows of plump sandbags form a low, pyramid-shaped barrier. The sacks are stacked in a staggered pattern; rounded edges, irregular surfaces, and suggested seams and fabric textures define their appearance. Sacks leaning against the sides break up the solid position and enhance the design’s natural look.
Depending on the scale, the sandbag position can serve different roles in a modelled scene. Here are a few design ideas:
- 1:18: As improvised cover at the edge of a military diorama in a collector’s display case.
