The low sandbag emplacement by MyPortal Studios adds a distinctive defensive position or realistic supply setting to military and vehicle dioramas. This physical accessory is available in scales 1:18, 1:20, 1:22,5, 1:24, 1:32 and 1:35, and can be used as a scene detail in model making.
The individual sacks are stacked closely together to form a low, continuous barrier. Irregular contours, indented areas, and modelled seams and folds create a fabric-like surface effect. Depending on the scene, the object can appear as a sandbag stockpile or as cover at an anti-tank position.
The following design ideas show how the sandbag emplacement can be placed in different model-making worlds:
- 1:18: As a defensive position at the edge of a military diorama, beside a vehicle in a workshop or garage setting.
- 1:20: Along a path in a landscape diorama, as low cover for an improvised observation post.
- 1:22,5: Beside a fortified building in a Gauge II military scene, as stacked material at the edge of a garden railway layout.
- 1:24: As a barricade at the entrance to a road diorama, near a depicted checkpoint.
- 1:32: At the edge of a country lane in a Gauge 1 landscape, as cover beside a military vehicle.
- 1:35: Right at the base of an anti-tank position in a vehicle diorama, for example as a protective wall in a combat scene.

Product Notes
The support structures remain on the figures for safe transport. These can be removed with fine pliers or carefully by hand. The figures can be gently heated with a hair dryer to facilitate release. Further information can be found in the FAQs .
